Manhattan College is a private, Catholic, liberal arts institution located in The Bronx, a 35-minute subway ride from the heart of Manhattan in New York City.
For many colleges and universities, enrolling a Fall class comes down to one day in the Spring: Accepted Students Day. But for every candidate that can make the trip for this highly-orchestrated campus visit, many more will miss out.
We set out to create an experience that would immerse a potential student in the culture of Manhattan College, and spark a deeper, more compelling connection. Together we created Jaspers, Join In! Accepted Student Experience.
Jaspers, Join In! included three live online events, and a multi-channel digital campaign that reached accepted prospects in all kinds of ways. Traffic was driven to a dedicated Jaspers Join In! microsite, which would take on three phased functions over several weeks – a landing page for information and registration, a portal to the accepted student experience, and a YouTube Live experience that included breakout sessions for students and parents.
With the success of Jaspers Join In!, we then created the Jaspers LIVE! Orientation Experience. Students and families participated in several days of live, interactive events, which remain archived on the Jaspers LIVE! site. This way, attendees can revisit to find answers to questions they may not have even known to ask in the moment.
On event days, students met up with their Orientation Leaders (OLs) who led information sessions from physical, on-campus locations. Meanwhile, their parents and guardians were able to meet with key faculty, staff, and administrators, and even learn about the OLs their students were getting to know.
