The Columbus Metropolitan Library doesn’t exist just to archive books, media, and content. It’s there to help the community prosper, supporting opportunities to learn, grow, and reach personal or professional goals. It’s also repeatedly ranked by experts (namely, Hennen’s American Public Library Rating Index) as the best library system in the U.S. Yet with more than 20 branches, 800 associates, and 400 volunteers, the organization lacked a clear and simple articulation of what it stood for. Ologie helped the library simplify and magnify its purpose. A new logo and a colorful, energetic visual language were applied to the website, branch signage, newsletters, and much more—including a vibrant array of new library cards.
