Recently, we attended one of our favorite conferences: the Higher Education Symposium hosted by the American Marketing Association. And true to its location in the Big Easy, we went big. This year’s booth doubled not only in size, but in aspirations too. For starters, our theme emphasized big ideas. But we also wanted to speak directly to attendees and meet them where they live. So instead of cocktails, our “idea bar” served up sweet swag like free T-shirts, pennants, journals, tumblers, and more—all with messages that celebrate higher ed marketers as people who pursue and champion big ideas on campus.
