For its 2013 community report, the Columbus Regional Airport Authority chose the theme “the spirit of Columbus,” in part to commemorate a historic voyage 50 years ago, when hometown pilot Jerrie Mock became the first woman to fly solo around the world, in a plane called the Spirit of Columbus.
Of course, the phrase resonates far beyond the name of Mock’s aircraft. For the CRAA, that spirit is what drives its associates and powers its vision of connecting Ohio with the world. For our creative team, it inspired the report’s design and copy, deftly uniting the year’s statistics and news under a single compelling idea.
