An Unparalleled Institution

As Gilcrease Museum prepared to reopen in a new, state-of-the-art facility, it needed a fuller story of who it had always been. Beyond its reputation as a Western art museum lies one of the most comprehensive collections of the Americas – spanning 12,000 years, 300,000 works, and countless, untold perspectives. The resulting brand, Unparalleled, positions Gilcrease as a prism, not a mirror – an institution where many different stories coexist, where understanding history is never finished, and where every visitor helps complete the picture. Through layered visuals, thoughtful pairings, and a new “G” identity mark, the brand reflects the ongoing dialogue between cultures, histories, and untold perspectives that makes Gilcrease unlike any other museum in the world.
